Do you have a good luck charm?

In my wallet I carry an Irish coin, 10P, with a cool-looking fish on one side. About the size of a dime. About 8 years ago a kind old gent gave it to me to bring me luck in all parts of my life. It works, too.

So, how 'bout you?

I try to keep a tall blonde named Debbie in my Tuffy Esox Magnum as much as possible. I don't know if it helps the fishing, but it sure can't hurt!

I really don't have any good luck charms, except maybe my rods, reels, and lures.

Thad, I'm taking your question as a genuine concern as to my overall well being.;) I no longer partake, but as a tyke we ate them, as potato chips were hard to come by, and that is all we had. The pools in our community at that time were only 3' deep, as the lead content in our disfigured little bodies prevented us from normal swimming, and sinkage was a major concern. The benefit was that we had natural ankle weights, thus making our legs much like that of a Clydesdale, and were able to work long days in the fields!

If you would rather certain peeps not respond, please let us know and we will be happy to have our posts erased by the fine folks that have the ability to do so...in the mean time I'll see what I actually do carry when I go fish!

Oh, don't misunderstand me, the responses are just fine. I just thought that there were more people who carry goofy good luck charms. Or, is it more accurate to say, "more goofy people who carry good luck charm."?

By the way, I have a small SpongeBob sticker on my boat transom for luck, too. And, the other day I gave Shep a packet of glow-in-the-dark SpongeBob bandaides to increase the luck in his boat. I shouldn't tell you this stuff, Sponge, your head's gonna swell up and you'll tip over.

Lol dude, there isn't enough of me head to swell unfortunately! I know sometimes a post will get real stupid, and even I get frustrated trying to get a somewhat serious response. No doubt others will share their "oddities" pertaining to prefishing rituals/charm pieces; clothing, hats etc. all play a part in preparation for day on the h2o!:)

A couple of hats and t-shirts that never see any time other than when I'm fishing. They really don't put more fish in the boat, but, it makes the fish more visable when they jump out to laugh at me.

I found a new one for 2002 ,it was that damm sponge bob bright yellow shirt. There was at least 10 fish put in my boat while wearing that shirt.
It not only brought me luck but anyone fishing out of my boat, seemed to catch fish.I can't wait to put it back on once again ,come on spring.

That ice isn't melting a bit

Floater, you should have ahd that shirt/hat on when you got off the plane!!! Still can't believe you were only 45 minutes away, yet the mega ice droppage prevented safe travel for food, frolic and stupidity...glad to see you got home safely; I just finished shoveling out the driveway yesterday afternoon. The road is finally clear, and the temps are in the 50s, where they should be...hopefully next year we can both ski and rockfish!

Sponge, Your good luck magnet and lure are in the mail! Hang that lure in a pierced hole and the magnet from a tooth filling. This fills the boat with fish for me. Next year! good luck at the Cave.

I had two bowls of Lucky Charms the morning before the Three Lakes Chain PMTT event in 2001, I caught a 44 inch tiger musky that took big fish of the day and took 4th place in the event. Before a big event you bet I will bring them along. I used them in the championchip match but they let me down, we even tried tossing hand fulls over each shoulder while fishing, but no luck.
