Gonna be ordering some hooks for the upcoming season and saw that they are now making the kvd triple grips up to 3/0 and was wondering if anyone has tried them yet. If not these what do you recommend and why?

Vmc 4x. They are easy to sharpen and stay sharp.

Alot of it depends on the type of lure, and where you'll be fishing it. Fishing rivers/rocky situations 80+% of the time, I've come to rely on Eagle Claw 774 trebles for most of my needs in the 2/0-5/0 range. They've held a point after contact, better than most of the other hooks I've used. There are lures that I prefer a short shank for spacing, or heavier hook for balance, but the 774 has been the mainstay for a long time. Wish they came in 6/0-8/0. Please keep us posted as to the durability of the KVD triple grips.

Yup... Go with Owner. I've messed around lately with a lot of hooks for Muskie and saltwater. Owner hooks have been great. I even like their Hyperwire Split Rings. Check out Owner.

I have used triple grips in the past when they made them bigger than 3/0. I personally love them and have been searching for more for the last 4 years. IMO they are the best hook for when a fish runs straight at you.
