Montei: I just picked up my new 2013 Impact 1875 and used it for a week on Lake of the Woods. Boat performed excellent. The factory did not equip it with muskie "mojo" (apparently not a factory supplied option) but we introduced it to muskies, thoroughly "slimed it", and now it is a confirmed muskie hunter. PM me if you have specific questions or want more information.

I got the 1775 single console this year and love it. The layout is really nice especially with the optional aft flip seat. That flip seat doubles the back deck space to where it is like fishing from the front of the boat.

I have not run it on "big" water though to comment on that. It is a smooth ride compared to a lot of other aluminum boats I have been in including my previous Smokercraft. I went with the 1775 as you really don't gain much in the 1885 except 6" in the side rod locker space. I didn't think that was reason enough to step up in size.

How high out of the water does that 1775 sit? I was checking one out at the show room and it was layed out very nice in my opinion. Would double nicely as a family boat I'm thinking

I would consider it fairly high. I came from a boat that sat high in the water so it doesn't affect me. That said it drifts much slower in the wind than my other one did which is good.

It works well with my family. The kids love the aft flip seat.

Cisco, what size motor do you have on the impact and about how much do they cost new? I was also looking at the impact as an option. I was looking at maybe getting the Alumacraft Competitor 185 w/ 150HP but the price is around 28K - way too much IMO for that boat.

Jay I have the 115 Yamaha 4-stroke on it. Speed is right around 40mph with just me and gear. New you will be looking at paying a bit more than that Alumacraft if you get similar add ons to what I got. I could have gotten it cheaper if I would have went with a Merc (factory installed) but I have had good luck with Yamaha so stayed with them. The big hitters for add ons on my boat were the two 900 series Humminbird graphs, and the Minn Kota IPilot trolling motor. Those three alone added nearly 5K.

Just ordered 1775. Looks o me to be the perfect musky boat in the showroom, we'll see. Full report after fall fishing. rigged out the way I wanted it.... transferred my existing electronics and trolling motor. The fold down rear deck sold me on the boat. 115 Merc. 28k

Mudpuppy, how do you like this boat? I am considering a 1675 but am concerned about space and the 8' foot rod locker. Anyone else fish one of these?

I have the 2013 1775 Impact with the 115 four stroke merc. I love it for Muskie fishing. I have the flip down back seats that extends the casting deck by over a foot. I had it out on the bay in 2-3 footers with no troubles. I highly recommend the ipilot link. I have the 80 lb terrova on mine and it is plenty enough.

If you go with the link and humminbird electronics you have a ton of additional features, like the follow the contour system. Depending on the lake (how good it's mapped), the follow the contour system can really be great.

It does lack musky rod storage, but I just store mine between the seats when towing it and on the side, above the port locker when moving under power. If you go with the single counsel, you essentially have one entire side of the boat as a casting deck. I was able to quickly get to the back of the boat for a cast back on a follower that I would have never gotten otherwise a couple times. So, it got me a couple of extra fish this year.

All in all, great boat for the money!
