| Guys...consider myself to be a 50/50 bass/musky guy and am considering a new, yet relatively inexpensive boat purchase...a Ranger 188 RT. For years was certain I'd go glass but have found a lot of my bass fishing holes to be old quarries with shallow rock areas...Would like to trust that a Ranger product won't steer me wrong. Am i paranoid to think glass shouldn't be an option? My musky haunts are mostly flooded timber, some sunken, which i wasn't too concerned about. But rock? That scares me...But I know northern Wisc/Minn guys have to see their far share of shallow rocky areas...thoughts?? |

That RT doesn't look like it will do much for bigger or rougher water. If that isn't what you fish than it looks good. Nice deck layout. |

Location: NE PA | IMO, if you are going to fish any kind of big water get a glass rig and just be extra cautious when in and around rock. If not, Get the tin and save the $$$. The Mod V tins have a pretty good layout and make for comfortable fishing as long as you arent in rough water. |
