What size shrink tube do I need to use to replace a hook on a dbl showgirl?

I used 1/4" on my double showgirls. Most probably use bigger but I like the tighter fit of the 1/4". On tails with #7 split rings use 5/16". I buy the rolls of shrink tubing, which run $3 to $6 depending on where you buy them from.

I use 3/8. Go on ebay to purchase. You can buy big rolls for around 5 dollars vs fleet where its a lot more.

Moore's Lures sells a couple sizes at a very nice price. I usually try to stock up on pre-cut wire, hooks, and shrink tube all at once...

I bought mine on eBay the bigger size in a big roll. I use a drop of vegetable oil inside the shrink wrap to get it easily over the split ring.

Home Depot, Menards, Fleet Farm all have shrink tubing in big rolls really cheap...

Thanks again guys. I bought a small pack a couple weeks back from Lowes but didn't get the right size. I will also try the veg. oil trick too. I have some on order.

Gives new meaning of frying them on.
