I have a Curado 301E that is a great reel, but nothing I've tried beats my 401TEs. They have been flawless over the past 7 years.

So far I'm loving my NaCl 60 5.4. Does everything very well!

My 300EJ is getting used more and more, however I have found a ton of uses for the tranx and not just the big stuff.

I am a Shimano guy all the way I have 7 400TE'S , 1 400D , 2 Tranx 1 hg 1 pg
this year I spent more time with a Tranx in my hands then any other reel I just wish they made it in a 400 but the tranx is tops in my book

Late 70's/early 80's era Shimano Bantam 500's.
Pros - Comfy in the hand, mainly stainless & bronze/brass construction for salt use, and cheap in comparison to newer reels. They also seem to go up in value each year.
Cons - Not the smoothest/quietest in the arsenal, drag could be better, and not the best choice for burning.

TE's 300 and 400 are by far the best I've ever used.

I haven't used the Conquest reels but if Pikemaster says they are the best, I trust his opinion.

Love my 401TE and Curado's and Revo. The TE is a beast, I took it to Cabo with me and it had no problem handling 25lb Yellowfin Tuna, Man was that fun.......Tuna on light tackle.

401TE and the Curado. I have (2) 401Ds and the jury is out but I think they will be good reels.
