looking to start making my own jerkbaits. This will be my attempt at making my own baits. any help would be Appreciated

1. Grab a chunk of wood, sketch some pencil lines of about the shape you want.
2. Bandsaw, router, sand, drill it to the shape you like.
3. Seal it up and test it.
4. If it don't work right, repeat step 2

I found it best not to look at another bait when making you own, if you widdle it out there is no way it will be the same as anything else out there. I know there isn't anything new left really but doing your own thing is best.

Its a long road to building good running baits, but it is so much fun going down that road.
