Tournament is a scam. Very poorly ran. I remember when they used to have well over 350 registered now 228. Next year will be even worse I know of at least 20 people that will not be fishing it. I think they are looking at under 200 people next year.

What does is the cheating going on especially by the people who run it. Example one of the guys in our group caught a 41 , 36, and a 38. Talking with another guy towards the end of the tournament at the headquarters he caught a 33,38,35. This guy I'm talking about helps run the tournament. But later the fish that showed up that he registered was a 43,36,38. And yes the were caught on the same lake. I could list a few other stories but I'm sure you get the idea.

That's a different story than your first post about poor attendance.

I'm pretty sure it's one of the main reasons the attendance is going down. There is more and other stories. A friend of mine fished this tournament almost every year since it started missed very few years and always had a huge group of people fishing it. This was his last year because of all the crap over the years this year was the last straw. Granted it's prizes and a trophy you would not think people would cheat but they do and what's sad is the tournament committee allows it, encourages it, and some are the ones doing it. It's to bad too the club does some great things with the money. Wish it was different.
