The weather sure is hot now but we have a major cool down scheduled for this weekend and just in time for my trip to Mille Lacs...

How would you adjust your approach to the waters and where would you search for the big girls?

This is my first time on the pond and am hoping it pays off!

check the north end sand for sure. head up in the vicinity of wealthwood access, hold your boat in two feet of water and cast toward deep water with topwaters and bucktails. it will not take too long to figure out of they are there. mille lacs seems to be a decent cold front lake anyway so fish hard, fish into the night, and if you find one there are probably more fish in the area.
