How'd you guys do?

We headed out of town and up to Land O Lakes on Saturday. Walleye and pan fished on Sunday all day. Was surprised by the lack of rigs on Palmer and Tenderfoot. Didn't see too many folks casting for Musky.

We did catch something I've never seen in Wisconsin so far. A blue Perch. It had smatterings of blue all over it and wasn't a solid blue like I've seen in walleyes and other Perch. This guy had a blue face and mouth and blue patches all over it.

Anybody see anything like this in Wisconsin?

I didn't catch a single fish and lost two decent ones. About sums up how 2013 has gone for me...hah.

I caught a perch with some blue by the mouth a few weeks ago.

Had 2 hits Saturday (both top water going over timber). Had a hit on Sunday off a rock bar with a top water in the wind, plus two follows one on a Suick and one on a musky killer. And yesterday caught a 37ish incher, had one strike boat side, had a nice one (high 40s) follow and strike boat side, and caught a bonus bass, all in the same shallow bay by the weeds within 45 minutes of 10:30 am, all on a slopmaster spinnerbait.

After me and my sons missing quite a few big fish all weekend, I finally had a 47 incher eat a Dancin'Raider with 5 minutes left to fish for the season on my home lake. Dam repairs are needed and the lake is being dropped 6 feet this week until next spring, pretty much cutting off access and ending fishing there for the year.

Not a hardcore fishing weekend for me, but did find some time to wet a line while relaxing at the In-Law's Cabin in the Minocqua Area.

First cast off the Dock Friday morning to test my newly purchased Tranx produced a 35 incher on the figure8.  Perhaps the new reel has some MOJO?  Fished for walleye/crappie in the afternoon and evening to feed the family.

Took my wife out Saturday night at sunset and fished till dark.  She had two whiff on a topwater bait.

Sunday morning took my 13 year old out for a few hours before packing up to head home early.  Boated 2 on the figure8 and he had a couple follows.  All on bucktails.

Ne real pattern emerged.  We contacted fish in the slop and main lake rock structure with topwater and bucktails.

Wife and I did pretty well. We took a break from musky fishing and caught some hybrid bass and crappie. Now we've got some fresh fish to eat, we can go back to musky fishing...

Fished one day on st Clair casting. Moved 15. Landed a 43".
Lost the biggest fish I have ever seen. Nipped bucktail in the eight and was barely hooked. Almost got her in the boat twice and then she came off. Scary big and fat. Well over 50. I am on a roll and not a good one.

Ifishskis Jr. (home on leave from the Air Force) and myself fished Labor Day on the Eagle River Chain and a few hours on another local lake. We fished with a well known area guide. Only fish we saw was one on the ER Chain that I'm pretty sure I hit when the bait landed in the water (I didn't know the fish was there....just another cast). The fish rolled the lure and was gone. Was a great day however and Junior had fun and that's all that mattered to me!!!

Will be fishing St.Clair for a week Sept 21st. Staying at a place in Fair Haven, Just wanting to know if we can get into some musky near by on should we head south about 3 ml. and fish around Pollet Bay or just fish the north channel. I have fished out of ST.Clair Shores before but that was just open water trolling in a 20 ft. lund this time I'm using my boat a 17 ft bass boat and want to stay off the big water as much as I can. Any help on fishing Anchor Bay would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much Marv.
