Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I think the results we see on the TV is the result of either wing tile or tile from the bottom of the craft failing. The shuttle sends a data stream which is pretty incredible, so NASA should be able to recreate everything that happened to the point of the break-up.
SAD day, and a terrible day for the US Manned Space Program. |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Our thoughts and prayers with the families and friends of the travellers, and with the ground crews who put their hearts and souls into their work. I grew up watching launches on TV, and even thought these have now become commonplace, it still amazes me we can do this. Recovery efforts have to be heart-wrenching, our prayers with those workers, too. m |
