With the PMTT in Madison this weekend I need to figure out where to go fishing?
I am far from good enough to compete so I think it would be best to head to some alternative waters. Any recommendations within ~2 hours of Madison?

A little further than 2 hours but I'd hit green bay if I lived where you do.

Redstone, Twin Valley, WI River, Swan, Silver (right in Portage), Park, Kegonsa, Wingra, Mendota (very limited muskie, but the pike will keep you busy), Lake WI, Yellowstone, are a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Head up 51 to the Wausau area and fish the Wisco River.
