| Hi all,
I was wondering if those of you who have used (or who know of this reel) know if it has enough drag for muskie fishing? I've heard good things and was very intrigued, but when I contacted Charkbait.com to order one, they suggested it might not be enough reel (drag in particular) for muskie. I then asked about the Raptor (higher drag) and they still questioned whether it would be enough. Really?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!! |

| I use the raptor SX , and it's a beast.
I think the normal would have enough drag pressure to handle the fish, but i didn't wanna think about the bearing deice, and i´m using it for other things ass well.

Location: Williams Township Pa | These reels can handle everything from flounder, catfish, striped bass to tuna. They can handle muskies. |

Location: Not far enough north! | Got one and its drag is fine for muskies I actually really like the lever drag while fighting fish. I use it for blades or hard reeling cranks. |

| sxj raptor was supposed to be on the market the first of August. Last time I talked to them they were still not out. However I did see a website that had the listed. I use a two speed JX and love it. The JX is a 3" round reel. the SXJ is 2 3/8" reel. Should feel a little more comfortable in the hands. |
