Anybody wear em? I'm looking to get a new PFD.

Mustang is high on the list but much of what I see is expensive - though worth it if life is at stake (hopefully never).... I'd like to keep it under $200. Thanks for any recommendations or feedback.

I wear the Mustang with the hydrostatic device. I prefer it over the water saturation pill. I love it, and I wear it.

Check out cabelas. They have their good ones on sale time to time. Online's usually cheaper than catalog or in the store.

Andrew,

I bought one last September after an incident on the water (Cabelas Angler 3500 & an extra cartridge - less than $150). Being diabetic and mostly fishing alone, I should have been wearing one for years. I hardly notice it when on. You have probably seen me wear it at club outings.

My dad got a GSX, I think Gander Mountain carries them. He wears it any time we are out on the water, he doesn't notice it at all. I recommend getting one.

Jon, haven't even noticed it yet. But I'll be sure to pay attention if/when we fish on Tuesday!

Thanks for the list so far. I'll do some searching.

I have always worn a life vest and prefer the Bass Pro shop over the Mustang especially when putting in long hours during the summer (I own and have worn both). The Bass pro is lighter and I hardly know I'm wearing it, whereas the Mustang is heavier and I can feel the extra strain on my neck muscles after a long day on the water.
