| I have read several threads on this page and others regarding Tuffy's stability in the boating market. If this is true why don't they have any boats at the Milwaukee boat show? Shouldn't that be their strongest market place? If I look at their web page it has not been updated for a couple of years and their brochures are the same way. I have a new boat ordered from them and have some after thought concerns about my investment. I asked on a couple of web pages before ordering the boat for input and didn't receive very many replies. Please tell me if you feel I'm making a mistake or not. I know there may be some past employees or Pro Staff people on here who can't respond, however you could e-mail me. Thanks [email protected] | |||

| I am certain you are making a wise investment if you are buying a Tuffy Muskie machine. I worked for them for many years, and can vouch for the product quality and the company tenacity. | |||

| I back what Steve said 110%. I have been running Tuffy's since 1993 and have yet to find a better ride and platform to fish muskies from. The Milwaukee boat show is one venue that Tuffy never has a boat in. That boat show is mostly for pleasure craft, so they put thier efferts in more fishing related shows. There was Tuffy Esox Magnum at the Chicago muskie expo. They just updated the seats and a few more details. They have never been a boat company that fills shows with rigs or has lots of advertising. They perfer to make only select number of boats each year normally around 200. I kinda think of them as the Harley of the muskie boat industry, not a lots of glitz and glammer, just a great muskie fishing machine. [:)] Feel free to email me if you have any more questions on your purchase. I dont work for the company, I am just a loyal pro-staffer that is proud to run a Tuffy. | |||

| bassin, You'll love your Tuffy. I have been fishing out of a Tuffy since 1992. Best boat I have ever fished out of. The factory has always taken good care of me. The investment you are making is a very good one. What model are you getting? | |||

| Wow, I had a Tuffy before both Jason and Scott! Bassin, I had a Tuffy for 11 years, and wanted to buy a new one this past year. I wanted the 1760 Esox Deep V, but the wifey put the kibosh on the price. I can tell you that I liked my last one very much, but it just got too small once we started taking the kids along. I took it to LOTW, and on Winnebago, and I was never nervous in the worst conditions. The website was somewhat redone this year. But Tuffy Boats was never one to go for a lot of fluff. They have a very loyal set of customers, and don't do a lot of advertising outside of the main fishing mags. I've been going to the Milwaukee boat show for 15 years, and I don't recall ever seeing a Tuffy there, so the fact they don't have one this year is nothing new. Plus, I think there were overall, fewer boats this year anyway in the new building. Hope I helped calm the tummy. BTW, what model are you getting? | |||

| Thanks for your replies,I feel much better now. When I didn't see any boats and found out that Steve left the company, one starts to wonder. I have two friends who have Esox Limited boats and have alway's liked them. I bought a Esox Magnum with a 60 HP Yamaha tiller, raised rear deck and keel guard. I fish mostly on small lakes, with North Twin being the largest. Thank's again for your replies and come on spring![:p] | |||

| bassin; I just finished my first full year with a 1760 deep v and loved it. One thing that is very important with buying a boat is their service department. I am not sure of any other boat manufacturer that can rival the service quality and speed as Tuffy. I have heard stories of waiting for weeks on end to get your boat even looked at. I had called twice this summer for service on very minor things on the boat that needed fixing. When I arrived they stopped what they were doing and took care of it right away. I am confident you would get the same treatment on your rig...welcome to the Tuff-Team. | |||

| bassin, Congrats on the Esox-Magnum. It is one of the finest muskie machines you will ever fish out of. The 60HP will push that thing fast. You will honestly feel like you are fishing off of a dock. Very stable - even with three wide bodies all fishing on one side. The area where you are fishing is ideal for the Esox-Magnum. Even better, if you look around, you generally don't see an Esox-Magnum for sale for very long. They pretty much sell like hotcakes. You should feel extremely comfortable with your investment. | |||

| I had an Esox in 1986, and traded it in on a Magnum in 1992, which I still have! It is by far the best muskie fishing platform that I have ever fished out of! The Boat Show dealers determine what boats are shown. As far as I'm aware, few if any of the show's dealers handle Tuffy Boats. | |||

| Steve, I think we met last season at the resturant in Phelps. I was the guy with the Ranger Fisherman. You, my buddy and I talked for an hour about Tuffy boats and that conversation got me going. That Ranger was supposed to be my last boat for life. I'm sure my wife would like to thank you? Ha! Ha![:praise:] Competition Sports in Pewaukee is where I ordered my boat from. They were at the show, but without any Tuffy's? | |||

| Mr. Bassin, Its a small world, and it comes with a great breakfast in Phelps![:bigsmile:] | |||
| |||
| Mr. Bassin, send me an e-mail ([email protected]) and we can talk a little about some of the finer points of the final set-up to make it a little bit more "user friendly" than it already is.[:bigsmile:] | |||
| |||
| Mr. Bassin, what color pattern did you get and when are you supposed to be getting your new rig? | |||
