This morning my dad called me to go fishing, went to their house and we planned to go for bluegills. Had everything ready to go then said screw it, took everything out and put the musky gear in the boat and went out musky fishing. Within a half hour my dad had a nice mid 40s on but lost it (twin teaser tail), then later a hit and a miss on a musky killer, then finally hooked up with a 40" trolling a Depth Raider over 50 FOW, finally landed that one. Was about 52 degrees and windy and raining all day, water temps down to 64 degrees. Good call going for musky.

Also, I'll take this over 85 degrees any day. Good rain gear is freakin nice.

I agree. I don't remember a cold front in late July like this. Today was perfect!

I drove up to Eagle River this weekend fearing that the water temps were going to prevent me fishing in an event there. Boy, was I surprised to see 71 degrees on the locator screen. With nights getting longer now, it looks like the rest of the season will be all clear for fishing, YIPPEEE!
