Sorry, having a problem posting to my other topic:

Should I go with the 60" or 54" shaft on the Minn Kota for my Tuffy Renegade? I estimate 24" from bow to waterline. Thanks for the help!

I would go with the 60" shaft, in rough water you will be glad you did.

Ralph has it right, when it is rough your bow will come way up out of the water on waves and your prop will not only get air but will be very loud as it exits and enters the water, but will torque all over the place. If cost isn't too big of an issue go long
