I'm having the problem mentioned earlier where the reel engages mid cast (I have the longest power handle on). Any advice?

After you point the reel handle down, rotate your wrist (if right handed with a 60/50 reel the handle it should be up and if right handed and the reel is a 51/61 the reel handle should be down). Not only with this help prevent engagement but also it will be easier on the wrist after a long day of casting.

And that's the proper way to cast a baitcaster anyway.

How big of a job is it to switch gears? I've got 3 toros with the 5.4 and love them but hate my 4.6 winch. Could I put 5.4 gears in it? Thanks

Yes U can gear your reel with any of the Toro gears, about $55.00
pm me or email [email protected]
I will need the # that is on the bottom of the reel foot from the reel U have.

Just used my nacl 6.4 with the power handle for pulling cowgirls for a few weeks. Amazing. I didn't buy it for that purpose but tried it and liked it. Beats my 400d by a lot. Fewer backlashes too.

I absolutely love my new reels. I have one in 6.4:1 and one in 5.4:1. These reels are super smooth!!! I haven't found anything I don't like about them yet.

So for those who previously owned a Toro HS or Winch and now have owned, or used a NaCl, would it be fair to say that for the most part the NaCl is preferred? I am looking to add one my HS reel and am split between trying the new NaCl and getting the 'older' Toro HS. I have been very pleased with my current revo reels.

I have a revo toro hs in 50 & 60 and a toro winch 60 for the last few seasons and added a NaCl 50 hs. The NaCl is my favorite. Love the new grips and put the power handle on the winch along with swapping to 5.4 gears in it and it's awesome for big blades, much faster than the winch and pulls just as easy.

How much of a difference does the power handle make? So far I still have the regular paddle on and love it. Might screw on the power handle and give it a try

The power handle on the long setting makes a very noticeable difference for the big blades.

No issues blowing out the gears. You get dirt on them I 1st use solvent on them, then give them a real good blow to rid the solvent. Use this method for all ratio reels using all lures.
