I am getting a single 4-5 second beep about 30 seconds after I fire up the motor. Runs fine, fires up fine, but I cant seem to figure it out. The oil was low but it is filled now. The reserve tank under the hood of the motor seems to have oil in it. Anyone know what warning beep this could be?

Try changing your fuel filter, could be water in fuel filter. Make sure oil reserve tank is completely full.

You don't have to change the fuel filter to check for water. There is a drain below the fuel filter. There was just a thread on this last week. Look down a page or two.

The oil tank inside the motor must be full to the top. If not, you can get the beep on acceleration. Directions on how to purge the oil tank are on that thread also.

Thanks Shep. I just found that thread and will try the oil reserve tank first as I think that's what it is since it gives me the beep only shortly after I start the engine up then doesn't beep at me again.

Thanks for the help guys. It was the oil reserve tank. Filled it up all the way to the tip top. Took her out for a test ride and no beeps! also whacked a few bass while I was out, too bad that lake which is 2 miles from my house has no muskies

Glad it was just the tank a little low. Good job on the bass, too.
