Posts: 78 Location: In the Weeds | My fingers have become completely raw from fishing. I feel as if I have no skin left on them, and I am very sensitive to heat, my laptop running for awhile makes them hurt when I touch it, I put on aquaphor and band aids every night but they keep peeling. I am going to Canada this week and would like to help it. Any suggestions? Edited by BloodyCarp 6/11/2013 8:10 PM

Posts: 19 Location: Tomahawk,Wi | I have had the same problem for years. The best bet is to go to a dermatologist and they will get you hooked up with some ointment. It works

Posts: 1036 | Try putting hand lotion on at night. Find some that contains Aloe Vera in it. That outta help heal up the hands nicely overnight. I use a lot of it when I'm in Canada. Hands and fingers get all knicked up and actually split due to being outside so much and having water on the hands. Aloe takes care of it. Whatever you do, good luck to you!

Posts: 97 Location: Milwaukee, WI | Go to your local garden center/plant shop and buy an actual aloe plant. Cut open a few leaves and smear the gel all over your hands. Put on rubber surgical gloves and leave that stuff on as long as possible or overnight. It works much faster and far more effectively than commercially produced lotions or gels. It does stink, but I'm willing to wager that if you do this you will see marked improvement.

Posts: 994 Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Buy some cotton derm gloves. Mix a solution of 1 cup filtered H2O & 1 tblsp of distilled white vinegar. Soak gloves and wear for 15- 20 mins. Rinse, pat hands semi dry (do not rub) put on aquaphor crème. Do this every night before bed you will see the improvement. One of the bigger effects never noted is your sleep...need more/better sleep. Vita E oil, Aloe, etc... are ok for moisturizing before the tape trick. Another thing is quit using harsh hand soaps... the antiseptic soaps are skin killers. Dove, Basic H, etc...It's a constant battle but the longer you wait the worse it gets.
