Subject: Chautauqua - Upper end

Six boats fishing an unorganized walleye tournament this past Sat. & Sun. boated 8 'Lunge from 32 to 45 inches. All came from within a couple miles of the Prendergast Boat Launch on the upper end and all were caught trolling Hot-n-Tots 50 feet or so behind downrigger balls. The plugs were running right on the bottom in 28 to 33 feet of water. Everybody fishes the same way as this get together has been going on for many years and Hot-n-Tots on the bottom this time of year always produces wally-eyes. This is an exceptional Musky catch and proves they're spread all over the water column. None were kept and all got tender releases.
