Location: Detroit River | A couple months ago I bought a couple of double dawgs from R&H. One of them will not swim right. every time I give it a pull no matter how fast or slow the #*^@ thing rolls on it's side. I have one of the original double dawgs (swims fine) that I picked up at a show when they first came out & the bottom of it is flat where as the new one I have doesn't have a flat bottom. I have tried bending the head down & even bent it up but it still rolls on it's side. Is this just a defective one or do I need to modify it more? I'm so peeed about it not swimming right I'm about to just throw the #*^@ thing in the lake. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Cut the fins and tweak the harness and as Steve said, I bet a musky doe s not care, especially when hes coming in at 30mph

Location: Lake St. Clair | I agree with the fact that the fish don't care. I have a few pounders in the box that do that and I can tell you it doesn't make a difference. Actually, it adds a little extra out of the ordinary action that sometimes gets them to go. Lets be honest, if a fish is going to eat, its going to eat. Stuck a 49.5 incher boat side a week ago on a pounder that did that. The bait was on its side the entire figure 8. |

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Maybe it doesn't necessarily make a difference when it's on its side, but being on its side is going to make it not swim as deep IMO. Just like when your front hook gets around the leader. I can feel it instantly, and the Dawg will only swim a couple feet under water, and on its side. A Dawg swimming 6-8' higher than I want may be that factor that DOESN'T put a fish in the net. |

Location: Hayward, WI | Did you try bending the head left or right? That usually gets my rubber baits running true. Bending up/down changes the glide angle and running depth more than left/right behavior, in my experience.
I'm guessing that will get it to run true, and if not, pull off the side fins like others said in addition to tweaking the harness should make it run how you want. |

I'll try bending the head left or right first. I really don't want to cut the fins off but I might have to I guess. As far as the fish not caring I know that but I have more confidence if it swims properly. |
