Just getting excited! Will be arriving at the lake Friday night. Do some trolling for walleyes and perhaps hit the muskies at midnight, or early Saturday morning.

How 'bout you?

Lets be honest, I am just gunna waive at everyone tossing musky baits. Since we are all going to be acting and feeling like giddy school girls at their first highschool prom.

thats how I feel at the start of every season

Im not sure if i will be able to fish the opener. It depends on if I can find someone with room on their boat in southern Minnesota.

2nd year on the attack, any suggestions with the late spring?

Planned on hitting weed beds at 6-10 ft with jerkaits blades and topwater.

Any advice is truly awesome!

I'll be on a metro lake Saturday morning casting my very productive tarpon lures. If a six-foot tarpon will hit a lure, then why not a 4 foot Muskie? Yeah, I'll probably get skunked.

^Wel put! Hahaha. I'll be in the north metro. Lets see if I can finally pop the 'skunked on opener' cherry!

No action here. A few pike, went jigging Sun. morning for walleyes and ended up in a school of smallies. That was fun at least. Water temp was 54 deg_F.

fished 2 central mn lakes. me and my brother in-law ended up with 20+ follows, 4 pike, and 1 small ski. all the fish and most most of the follows all came on Phantoms.

We lost one on the 2nd cast of the season
Had 7 follows Saturday morning. They were completely unmarked and fat. I don't think they were spawned out (northen MN). Front moved in and nothing including Sunday morning. Caught some pike and chubby pre-spawn bass. Nice to get out!
