Posts: 3147 | The Metro tourney is this weekend I think were going to fish small and try for a couple of the males that are still hanging in the shallows hoping to double up. Looks like the forecast for sat is mid 70's so the warm up may put some numbers on the leader board. Its always a fun time!!!

Posts: 572 Location: Maplewood, MN | I have fished it the last 2 years but my boat is waiting to be repaired right now....Hopefully I can fix it before saturday! Unless anyone has an open seat in the north metro?

Posts: 558 | I'll be fish'in it some where, wish that there was a few more of the bigger lakes in it. (forest or baldy). But i'll find some where to soak some baits. Good luck to all, should be fun, but then again, musky fish'in is always fun. Keep your hooks sharp as a razor.

You are looking to double up with a couple of males and it is always a fun time. Sounds like a nice weekend. BR

Posts: 162 Location: Metro, MN | Ill be out there! Disappointing that Bald Eagle and Forest are out this year though. Gonna be a packed house on the other lakes in the metro

Posts: 153 Location: MN | I won't be fishing it for the first time since it started years ago. Should be nice and quiet on Forest this weekend.

Posts: 125 Location: North Saint Paul, MN | Forest has a Bass tournament this weekend so it might not be that quiet out there. I will be on a lake in the north metro somewhere.

Posts: 833 | Paul said at the Expo that he couldn't get permits on those two lakes because of the Bass Tournaments. He was as dismayed about it as you guys are. Maybe he'll add some "not quite metro" waters to the list in the coming years if it continues to be a challenge.

Does anyone know the official tourney hours? I think the flyer says 6:00am and the website has it as a 6:30am start time.
