I prefer solid steel with a ball bearing swivel for extra weight.

174# Solid Wire Leader w/ball bearing swivel and snap or solid ring. Also weighted leaders work very well with Suicks.

Does weighting the leader affect the action on the rise, or just slow it down? How about casting? I imagine the extra weight helps cast them further, but does it lead to more fouled casts?

I like solid steel for dive and rise jerk baits but like fluoro for my gliders.
