My axle on my trailer is bad. I guess the hub melted to the axle? Just wondering if any one has had this problem before? And if I should take it to a shop to get fixed, or fix it my self?

That's more of a question for yourself. Do you feel like its something you can fix? If the hub melted to the axle you will probly need to replace the spindle or the entire axle. If you don't have the tools and know how to do this I would take it somewhere. My $0.02

Not that hard to change an axle I did mine on my ranger just make shure you get the right axle from the trailer
Mfg.mark the old one before you take it off and replace the new one in the same place.i bought the one axle with the cool hubs they are great never had problem since 4 years.axle is cheaper then you think.

It's a lot harder to change the axle than to keep the bearings maintained. I'd suggest you take it to a shop, for both.

There are only 4 u bolts and 8 nuts on a single axle trailer with jack stands and a jack u could do it just mark the courant axle and put the new one right back in the same place .
