  | Just curious about what kind of maintenance you guys do on your reels. Seems like quite an investment with the price, want to get the most out of them. Thanks. |

Location: central Wisconsin | I cover mine when traveling and tear them down over the winter and do a complete oil and grease.

Location: Lake St. Clair | I get mine cleaned every year. There are a bunch of guys out there, but one that I use in Illinois that does a great job and I am very happy with his work. Check out Pimp My Reel |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | I clean and lube my reels about every 100 hours. I keep my reels in covers to and from the lake. Covers come off only to dry out the line on the reels. I service my own reels as well as those of many others. Replace any worn parts and upgrade as desired. If the spool bearings in the reels are oiled, I oil them after 20 hours of use or every other day on a long trip. |
