This poor lure blank was reclaimed from the lost souls bin of muffed siding experiments and after chiseling four layers of garbage off, sanding back to the wood, and re-sealing, it was ready for a new face. My neighbor suggested that this paint job looked like the unsavory product of a gorilla love-in, but I personally favored an illicit affair between a calico cat and a carp, hence its name.
