Location: Central Wisconsin | Looking at a new or used sonar/gps unit and I was wondering what peoples opinion was on which one is better. I have a hunch people are going to say "external" but is there that much of a difference? Do the internal models (lowrance) work well? |

Location: West of the metro, MN | Here's my experience. I have an Loweance Lms522c with an internal GPS, but some days my service was intermittent. If I'd fire it up indoors I wouldn't get enough signal. This winter I networked that unit with a Lcx-17m with an external GPS puck and so far I haven't lost signal, I even pick up WAAS signal in my garage! |

Location: Central Wisconsin | Thanks for the help! I guess if I experiance problems I could always add the external. I have been looking at the elite 7. |
