| I like the concept and have used them but end up changing out the hooks to larger hooks to accomodate "big" suckers. I started just bending skinny wire and making my own using these as the "proto-type". Easy to do and if you put a 5/0 or 7/0 hook to a torch you can heat them up and get them bent just like the ones in the rigs... |

Location: Oconomowoc, WI | They're very nice. Just be careful when you're bringing the sucker back into the boat to move. The clips will come fee and you could be out your sucker.
Other rigs with a small hook at the nose work just as well in my opinion. |

| I agree with above poster Need to be carefull with bringing suckers in and around trees and weeds. Also thought the nose hardware was bulky esp. in clear water.
Have had better luck with another rig. But wanted to try it.

Location: Pewaukee, WI | Great rig and eazy to use. Like any slide type quick strike rig just make sure the musky is swimming away from you before you set the hook.
IMO if you can lift a sucker out of the water with a rubber band rig, the rubber band is to strong and usually will not break and release the rig as well. |

one thing I do with the rubberband system is when I take the needle through the nostril and putt the rubberband through I will then twist the band to make it tighter on the suckers head.. less movement and when you set the hook hard that band will break I have been doing this for years and pete even thought it was a good thing to do instead of the snap twist and tuck method .. and with a good hard backbone rod and make sure the fish is going away from you . you will jam those hooks home...bill |
