Posts: 157 Location: Collegeville Pa | Hi all, The annual MI50 spring auction supporting musky fishing in Eastern PA is currently ongoing. http://mi50.com/smf/index.php?board=47.0 Simply put, this auction is AMAZING. Clearly the biggest and best we have ever put together, the list of bait makers, guides and other lots rivals any auction ever assembled. Through the incredible hard work and dedication by auction organizer, Silvia Spitzer, we have assembled a veritable who’s who of custom baits. This year’s auction has baits and trips donated from: Jeremy Wagner, Tuscarora Tackle Mark Smith, Smuttly Dog Brian Soares, BCS Customs Archie Berkerman, Esox Customs Tackle Mark Palbicki, Hellkat Shockbaits Suick Lures Stan Durst Musky Tackle Online Jerry Podmarsky Fred Pearson, Pearson Plugs Johnny Dadson, Dadson Blade Baits Anthony Ashby, Hot Tail Gliders Mark Wright, Just Wright Ricky Fitcher, Fitcher and Son Matt Gillispie Rob Giberson, Etch Lures Zach Baker, Baker Baits Scott Benson, Scott Benson Lures Crash Mullins, Crash's Guide Service Spencer Berman, Spencer's Angling Adventures Larry Jones, Mostly Muskie's Charter Service Red Childress, Allegheny Guide Service In addition, the auction will have baits donated from member private collections from the likes of: Trueglide Hughes River Shadillac John Snow J. Griffing All in all, 67 lots of musky fishing magic! The auction is held each year to help the Penn-Jersey Chapter of Muskies Inc (MI50) raise money to improve the local fishery in South Eastern PA. This is mainly accomplished by purchasing advanced fingerling Muskies (12”-20”) and stocking them into local lakes. Thus far the emphasis has been on Marsh Creek Lake in Chester County where the club has built a viable and flourishing pure bred Musky population. Stocking started in 2005 and we now have fish approaching 45” in the lake. Given the success we have had on this body of water, the club has moved on to other bodies of water while still maintaining the fishery at Marsh Creek. These lakes include Lake Nockamixon, where the club stocked 1200 14-20” Leech Lake advanced yearlings in the fall of 2012, Auburn Dam and Tuscarora Lake. This can only be accomplished by raising as much money as possible through auctions like this, sport show participation, club events such as “guide for a day” and the club’s coop / partnership with Cabela’s and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. All rules are posted on the MI50 site. Remember you must be a registered user to bid on any lots. Thanks again for your support of the Penn-Jersey Chapter of Muskies Inc. We are truly making a difference for musky anglers in Eastern PA. If you have any questions at all, please PM or email me. [email protected]

Posts: 173 | I think the Shadilac comes from the private collection of a club member. Kudos to that person for their dedication to muskie fishing.
