Very informative. I purchased some suicks over the winter and I'm eager to get them working!

that video will teach you a lot of what you need to know to effectively fish a suick. watch it, digest, and watch it again.

Good info in the video. My best advice is to fish with Norm and Dave Dorazio. Both are masters at teaching  how to work a Suick.

Is anyone willing to post pics and explain what the lure does given that particular tail position? I realize each lure will be slightly different than the next, but I wouldn't mind seeing some examples for a head start.

don't get too hung up bending the tail exactly right, i've found that adjusting the screw eye of the bait to one side or the other it just as if not more helpful during tuning as bending the tail correctly.

Take the tail and form it around your thumb not the nail side untill it has that curve it and then take a plyers and bend just the tips of the tail slitely down ward it makes a Huge difference.then play with the bend form there.it all depends on how you really want it to run everyone has their own actin on a SUICK lots of things you can do with them.good luck.

What action will this adjustment do?

I'm trying to replicate the nonrhythmic gliding action in Steve's video as best as I possibly can. I also liked his ability to make it wobble.

Never had a Suick that I couldn't tune to the way I wanted it. Takes some experimenting with both the tail and the eye. I start the tail bend down at around a 30 degree angle, then go from there, most will run great like this, If you don't get what you want change the angle a little and then twist the tail a little from right to left depending on what you want and how the lure is running. As someone else mentioned fool with the eye also. You can bend this one way or the other with surprising result just like a crank bait. Some time if I get a real stubborn Suick I'll even move the eye a little (usually a little upwards on the lure).

One of my all time favorite lures, many-many fish. Great lure in weeds! Great big fish lure!

One of my favorite baits and I load up a weighted Suick every time I am on a boat. Good video.
Thanks,
Ron
