It just occurred to me that this is one of the most important things to keep in mind in order to locate fish, and I have almost no background in it. I always tend to fish cover similar to the spots I fished on the lake I grew up on, and it really limits my success to the late summer/ early fall bite.

I know you could probably write a book on this topic, but what are some of the key seasonal transitions that the fish tend to make?
