Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hi Everyone,
Looking to take a group of inner city kids up to Mille Lacs on June 7th to go fishing on a launch boat. Cost for the launch is $500, or $20 per student. Bus cost would be $10 per student, so each student would have to come up with $30 to make this happen.
Being they are inner-city students, the students come from very low income families, and most, if not all, are on a free lunch program.
So...looking for some connections here in the Twin Cities that might be able to help defray the cost of making this happen.
Or...if we can do something here on Muskiefirst, that would be great too!!
Any connections or help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks everyone!!
Steve

What part of the cities are you talking about? My dad works at the YWCA in St. Paul and they might be able to help with something like this...especially if they are St. Paul kids.

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya,
The kids are from Washington Technology magnet in St. Paul (The Former Arlington HS on Rice street).
Propster, got your PM and will be in touch if there is enough student interest. If I could make this happen, this will be really cool!! Some of these kids never get outside of the city...They'd be amazed at the size of the lake, the fun, and they'd get a kick out of the walleye in Garrison.
Thanks again so far!!
