Anybody know some "must try" spots near River Falls? I've lived in the Twin Cities the past few years, but I'm moving to River Falls this summer and I'm not familiar with it at all. I know the Kinni is pretty well known for trout, but can't find much else as far as info goes.

Thanks in advance.

Grew up there and I live in Hudson now. If you put in at the Cove landing off of F, you can be on the St. Croix in 10 minutes.

I grew up in River Falls. The two ponds in town used to have monster bass and panfish in them, but I think they are swamps now and are being drained. (it's been a while). I used to fish in Prescott and Hudson quite a bit, and the Croix in Hudson is getting hot for Muskies now. Awesome walleye, sauger and smallie fishing on the entire river. For lakes, you would have to head north or over to Minnesota. The Kinni is getting back on it's feet with trout. I used to fish it with only Mepps and killed them. Good luck.
