Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | was at the show today helping a friend set-up his merchandising racks. i'm impressed with how hard the people who make the products we enjoy work to design, make and merchandise them. i hope they make some bucks cuz i'm guessing for most of them it's a second job they do on vacation time and after work at home because they love doing it. a tip of my hat to all of them! no experience at any other shows, but this one in Minnesota is good and i think i'll add it to my list of things to do in the future. there were some really good buys ...

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | muskyslayer35 - 4/6/2013 12:39 AM I too spent too much LOL I was just talking to other vendors and many said this was their best Friday in years! Hope this is a sign of the economy turning. Musky season does tell the US Gov what the year will be like you know... Hope to see some of you tomorrow or Sunday at the show. Bring your kids! Free lures! Lots of kids today. James PS-Lots of great deals at the show too. A few booths (including our TI booth) had buy 3 get one free and many had 10-30% off retail. Lots of good specials! Posts: 151 Location: Chippewa Falls, WI | first year at the expo...picked up two TI rods (9' tele and a 7'6", spilt the buy 3 get one free deal with my brother so we both got two rods at a great price!), couple bucktails, and a new tranx from Reeds ($399!! so if your going to buy one make sure to save the $100 and get one from them) Had a good talk with Saric about rods n reels and LOTW which was a nice bonus. Overall had a great time and will definitely be back next year. Adubs

Posts: 1039 Location: North St. Paul, MN | Didn't spend a ton, but spent enough! Got a sweet crankbait from Jeremy at Tuscarora Tackle and then he hooked me up with a glider that I know is going to get "smoked!" Show color 6" phantom. The best deal: 10 bucks to get in to have Abu Garcia work on my reel for 30+ minutes for free, talk with Jim Saric for a moment about phantoms, and Mike from Fudally's...great guy! Highlight though: Watching the smile on my daughter's face as she helped make a pink bucktail, color a "dawg" with spike-it, and then James from TI handing over one of his cisco baits! That, was priceless. It was her first show and I know I've made a lifer out of her. Thank you to all that make it so much fun for the kids! Swap meet tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posts: 134 Location: (South of the 218) | My son and I were "window shopping" at the Tackle Industries both (like we do at all the booths) ... when one of the fellas tells my son to pick out his favorite color of Super Cisco. My boy knew which one he was going for in an instant. He was the proud owner of a new lure - gratis. I can't say enough about TI and how they treat people. Veterans and kids have also been a priority to James and his crew and it's always sincere. When my youngest son was proudly showing off his new crankbait to mom, I was remembering a few years early when James had somehow drew my oldest son's name on a Muskie First Christmas swap and made his day back then. Thank you Tackle Industries - you've got things figured out. Paul Kirby US Marine & 6th grade teacher
