| I have heard some good things about this reel and am thinking about picking one up. Before I do, I am hoping for some feedback on how well it handles double 8's and smaller, specifically how hard it is to crank the baits in. Thank you |

Location: Elgin IL | I like the 300EJ handle but I dont like the 6.9 gears...The 300E with 6.2 gears would be better on #8 bucktails. |

Location: Madison WI | I have both a 300E and a 300EJ, the EJ is better for double 8's and smaller then the E in my experience. |

Location: Hopefully on the water | I used the 300EJ last fall for a day and thought it was great. It moves the baits IMO. I threw dbl8's and showgirls with it no problem. Only reason I didn't use it longer was because it is my dads reel. I have been thinking about getting one after using his. Very nice reel. |

| I have several 300e' and ej's. Broke down and ordered a ej handle put it on the e. SUPER! power and speed. Best dbl 8 reel I've got. (handle ain't cheap) |

Location: Elgin IL | The 300e and 300ej are the same size just differant gears and handle.
The 300E 6.2 with a EJ handle would be a perfect 8 setup. |
