How do the big nasty and sling blade blanks compare to the Thorne predator XH and H blanks?

i was in the same dilemma and now im going with a thorne bros 9' XH because i can get that built exactly how i want since there were certain thing i didn't like about the big nasty like the handle length and split grip.

I own/use all of these rods so i feel somewhat qualified to answer....I would not so much as say they are stiffer but they load up differently. The Predator's load up deeper into the blank than there counter parts in the LT line. I do not think one is necesarrily any better than they other it comes down to personal preferance; they are all top flight options. One thing to consider is that the crew in the Rod Shop @ TB can build out a custom Sling Blade or Big Nasty to your liking as well so if you like those rods better for the same range as a Pred you can have that too...
