My V2 autopilot doesnt want to stay in the water. The latch is not holding it down, and I imagine that it is some sort of spring that is not keeping the crossbar in check. I dont have to flip the lever to pick it up.

Any ides how to fix it? And has anyone else ran into this?

Pull the side covers by where it mounts to the boat, 2 phillips screws on each side. You will see the rod and pin that the lever move. Might just need some grease or something maybe bent or broken.

I had the same issue with my minnkota that it would not latch. Well needless to say I cleaned the area where is latches, applied a light coat of grease bam, locks in perfectly. It appears the metal was wearing and loaded up with shavings and gunk. Just a little maintenance and I was back in action.
