Anyone using this braid? I bought some 80# and was wondering how it works for you?

I put it on a reel last year and it got used alot. It worked well but i'd just as soon put the regular PP back on.

I tried it out last year on my saltist 35bg (no levelwind). Worked well, no complaints. I turned the line around and have it set up to go again this year.

I used it in 20 Lb on a bass reel. After the second trip I took it off my reel because the line was fraying & coming apart. I'll be sticking with regular PP.

I had the same issue with the 80lb super slick fraying and coming apart? went back to reg PP and no issues. NOT impressed with the super slick 8, for more money than the reg it should hold up better

I've used 50 lb & 80 lb.

As far as strength and performance, they both were awesome. They definitely seemed to cast a bit further and it was a little bit quieter casting and retrieving.

The 80 began to fray after one of the inserts in an eyelet broke, it was just as strong but didn't look it. The 50 is still going good. I feel that the only reason mine frayed was due toy eyelet breaking in the first half of the season and me not fixing it until the end.

I want to get a bulk spool but for the fraying I've heard from others I may stick with the regular, or I may give it another shot this year with a small spool to get a better feel for it (making sure my guides are smooth).

I have to agree with all other posts above... I had 80# slick brand new rigged on my bucktail burning reel. Four days later on a solid casting fishing trip the line was starting to look pretty frayed up. Found myself cutting off 8'-10' of line each day to retie to "fresh" looking line just for comfort sakes. Nothing bettering then whipping tails and watching your favorite lure sail another 50yards before hitting the water...ouch!

Didn't have a problem with strength, but the fuzz/fraying had me a bit nervous and this was brand new line that took a lot of use.

Tried it.... and dont plan on going back to it. Stickin' with the standard PP

i put the 80 on my tranx for a couple weeks last year...i hated it..main thing is when it's 90 degrees out the line doesn't hold any water and it gets HOT...burned the skin on my thumb from thumbing the spool after a week of slingin.... it would be great for the late fall but not in the hot summer imo...took it off and thru it out. back to the tried and true 80 lb masterbraid bronzeback.

I forgot to mention the fraying. It took about 6 days on the water til it was fraid up. Thought i maybe had and eyelet cracked.

Very nice casting imo. Frays quite a bit which is power pro in general. I like it a lot more than regular.

Had the same fraying issue. Went with Cortland and good old Invisabraid.

My buddy just bought a spool and in a few trips the timber brown has faded severely

Seems this product is not the go to line. I'm going to change it out on two of my reels and leave one with it on. I will give cortland a try. I hear good things about this brand, and as a rookie musky guy I want as few problems in the beginning so I can just improve my skills. Thanks for all the input. I'll never listen to guys at bass pro shop again. They said it was the best, maybe for bass in 15lb but not for musky.

Pretty disappointing to hear about the super slick. I'm glad I didn't buy any yet to try, escpecially considering it's the most expensive braid I've seen out there.

I'll stick with Sufix 832. Used it the past couple seasons and it's been great. Zero complaints.

for the late fall guys i think it would be great, it holds very little water...now in the hot summer, not so good if you thumb the spool/line .....
