| First I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!!!! I got an e-mail stating that Evergreen Lake in Central Il. opened backup and is free of ice. So, you know where I had to spend a close to forty degree afternoon. I told my dad (87) get in the Blazer and hitched up the boat and away we went. I would like to say we tore them up, but it didn't happen and we didn't even see a fish. It didn't matter being able to get out one last time this year with the old man doing alittle casting and trolling with a possibilty of catching a ski was worth it!! God bless, Al P.S. The lake may stay open through the weekend water tempiture was 35.5 to 37 degrees and both ramps are open.[:praise:] |

| Alen, I think that going with your Dad at his age is unbelievably great! Especially at this time of year. [:0]
I take My Dad and he's a young 67. I gotta say that I fish with a bunch of different guys through the year and yea I listen to the same stories over and over, but swear he has more enthusiasm!!! and more stick-to-itiveness (sp?) than most!
Hope you and your Dad have a great 03. |
