| Any 1760 owners that can comment on the 1760 as a potential smallmouth bass boat? I fish primarily for smallies and some muskie. I know the 1760 is really good in bigger waters, but I also fish in some medium sized rivers and smaller lakes.
My main question is the height of the freeboard and front casting deck? Can you easily do the lippin' and flippin from the sides or are they too high? Wondering about doing figure 8's from the casting deck...again, too high or okay?
I think you can fish smallies okay in almost any boat, but how good or bad would it be from a 1760? Thank you..

| I have a 1760gt. I mostly musky fish but do a fair amount of green and brown bass fishing. I would strongly suggest a g series for bass fishing. Lower gunnels are nice for flipping and pitching heavy cover with longer rods. Great hull for a variety of waters. Had mine in big stuff on leech and fish plenty of 60-200 acre puddles too. I think mine floats in less than a foot of water. Get in some super shallow stuff every spring. |

| By g series do you mean the one that does not have the wide cap that runs around the perimeter of the boat? Or, does the g series sit lower in the water? |
