Typically I am jealous of all the big fish caught up North . But this time of year I am happy to be able to camp on the river and still catch fish

Beautiful! We are lucky in the south (at least during the winter months). I will be out all day tomorrow musky fishing!

Got this one one a Mega D , It followed in and I did a monster 8 around the back of the boat with no luck then started jigging it off the bottom . Fish finally ate it after about 4 minutes

"....the fish finally ate after 4 minutes."

Wow! Good job. Way to stick with it. I think most guys (including myself) would have fired another couple casts and returned to the spot later to never see the fish again. You may have just persuaded me to extend the boatside manuevers a little longer.

After reading Tom Gelbs book I have been putting more time in on the boat side , plus I could still see the fish , I honestly have had fish stay with a jigging bait for much longer , BUT they have never eaten after all that much time

Hey NC Muskie. How long do you think that fish is that you caught?

Interseting, both of what you speak of requires membership, which I do not have! Nice try!

What kind of baits do you prefer in the river? I have a small river close to me that holds muskys but there is so much wood using any kind rubber is near impossible. Great fish too btw.
thanks
