Posts: 278 Location: Finland | here some new gliders i made from blanks that i had lying around for a long time but never had a change to finnish. though that glitter base might look pretty cool on them so this is what i was able to come up with based on that idea. they are 2.5oz and 5.9inch Attachments ---------------- 2011 gliderit pikku.jpg (88KB - 259 downloads)

Posts: 4 | Your baits are really impressive SolarFall; the body shapes, color combos and patterns always seem to match perfectly in order to make a bait that I can't imagine would look "right" if it were done any other way. Each one just looks perfect. I do have a question about the baits you make with a glitter base, I would like to make a few for myself and am having trouble getting a nice, even, glitter base. Are you typically mixing the glitter in with epoxy and putting it on the lure or putting the glitter on the bait and epoxying over? The best result I've had so far is by spraying a light clear coat and applying glitter heavily then epoxying over. If you're willing to share a tip on how you do it, I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, S.Trutta

Posts: 278 Location: Finland | @s.trutta the way i do the glittering is that i just dip the lure to the clearcoat and then just springle the glitter all over the bait, usually i have to do the same process 2 or 3 times to get a nice and even distribution, then i just clear coat it enough that the surface is even and smooth and ready to be painted. im pretty sure that just mixing the glitters to epoxy will work aswell i just have never tried that @MACONE if you mean the bigger scales that you can see in my previous pictures thats not done by netting but with a special stencil that i've made. what cames to that "normal" netting, you can get that stuff from shops that sell various fabrics and also some fishing stores stock that too.
