Any body on here fish mallard in dupage county? I tried it once, but since I'm such a beginner I wasn't really sure what I was doin. It carry in water craft only do I was usin a canoe which was not the most comfy thing for muskies. Any tips for this body of water would be greatly appreciated.

Took my kayak there once last year in May. I think it was $7.50 to launch for a resident and even more for non-residents. I caught a low 30 on a topraider in the south end near some weeds. Also caught a few bass and tiny walleyes on small plastics. It's such a small lake that you could just set up some drifts if it's windy or cast a bucktail and let the drag troll you around the lake. Probably not any bigger fish in there yet as they just stocked it in '07 I think. With that being said I doubt I'll ever go back, even though I live pretty close. The lake is packed at all times with ignorant people who keep everything, leave garbage everywhere, come fish right next to you, etc.

Fished it a handful of times. Fish4musky1 echoes my sentiments pretty well. It's like all the other lakes down here - overcrowded, overfished, and treated with complete disregard by the hoardes of undesirables who fish there. If they catch it, they keep it. And if they use it while they are fishing, they leave it laying there at the end of the day. cigarette packs, cans and bottles, McDonald's bags, empty bait cartons, you name it. I've even found dirty diapers on more than one occasion. Waste of muskies this one was.

I live less than a mile from there, and its not worth going to. I cant stand going there and looking at the way people are, I saw a guy catch a small catfish and throw it up on the bank to die. I threw it back in right in front of him, and told him to take a hike, If I saw it again he wouldn't like my reaction.

It's better than no lake at all. And it's got muskies in it. But fishing in Canada and far northern WI has spoiled the small urban fisheries for me. It's one thing seeing buckets of undersized and illegal fish being hauled away every weekend, by people who probaqbly don't have a fishing license and only are looking to put a free meal on the table. It's another when you have to wash your shoes and your hands before you get in the truck because you stepped on a dirty diaper walking the shoreline. It's a sad reality down here - most people have no regard for the environment they are walking around in, and even less regard for the people they are sharing it with.
