Posts: 149 | Anybody use these for spring baits, or are they too small? Better off as a bass lure?

I personally think they are a bit small for Muskie, but they have been an awesome bass bait for me. Buy a few though if you are fishing on a lake with a lot of hammer-handle pike, they get shredded pretty quick.

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | I sell a crap load of MiniD lures in spring and guys swear by them. In Canada years ago I used a lot of Spring Dawgs and caught some BIG pike on them just after ice out. Any rubber that size up to a regular size swimbait (and even Mag)IMO does well in spring. I caught my largest walleye on a gold Magnum SuperD on June 3 way up north in Canada a few years back.

Posts: 752 | They are dynamite bas and walleye lures. I use the Nano heli Dawgs too. Awsome BWCA bait. the micros can work for ski's like anything else are too small IMHO to really target musky. The Mini Medussa or like sized Rubber is a better option.

Posts: 1360 Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Good bass bait. also catch some pike. But throw them under docks and bounce them the way you would any soft plastic off the bottom and you get some nice fish.
