Posts: 122 | I am thinking about picking up a few Jr Double Cowgirls before next season and am wondering how others have done with them. I have quite a few 10's and would like to add a few new baits that will offer something a little different to the fish. I have a few double 8's but have had very little success with them. Any feedback is appreciated.

I use them a lot. Great baits, nice to use instead of 10's.

Posts: 88 Location: Wisconsin | I started using Jr's last year some. Not enough to make a real valid conclusion, but I will be throwing them more this year. I'd say they are closer to a double 10 than a double 8. Not tons easier to retrieve than double 10's, but still noticable. Enough so to make a difference after 10 hours. A little easier to burn too. Posts: 415 | I feel they are much closer to a dbl10 than a dbl8. I use them almost as much as 10's and can honestly say the catch rate is about identical for me.

Posts: 1360 Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I had far more success on the JRs last season than I did the dbl 10s. I think the fish got conditioned so well to the size of the DBL 10s so when I used 8s, 12s, or 13s I would get way more follows and eaters

Last season the Jrs outproduced the 10's for us. still close tho. And I would agree... easier to retrieve, and burn. Loosing confidence in 8's over the past few yrs.

Posts: 18 | I also prefer the Jr's. Easier to fish. The 10's wore me out and there's no way I'm going to throw with a 20oz tranx.

That is one of the reasons that Tank was built in the first place so you could use big blades and not get worn out. I was throwing 13s on the PG tranx last year and it was really in nothing. I mean seriously, my spinning rod with a daredevil has more pull than 13s do on the tranx
