Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | The guys that have problems with this - does your Lakewood have the white inserts or black inserts? My Lakewood has white inserts and no problems with rubber in it. Bulldawgs, Super D's, Shack Attack baits and Kalins tails all play well in my Lakewood.

Posts: 50 | Mine has the white insert also...Its about 1yr old. Not quite sure if that matters. Its not bad just peeled away some of the insert basically. I love the box. I was just wondering if anybody came up with anything to counteract this from happening.

Posts: 1726 Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Lakewood Monster white inserts (cardboard) and no problems here. The new ones are plastic and they don't work with plastics at all.

Posts: 89 | I have the new white plastic in mine, the older dawgs are fine but the new dawgs are reacting to the plastic. My dawgs are fine its only harming the plastic in the box. I call lakewood last fall and they told me to send it in and they will replace it

Would it work to line the lure compartments with duck tape?

I lined the bigger slots with plexiglass on my lakewood monster. I siliconed the plexiglass in place. After a year so far so good. Before I did that the dawgs we eating into the plastic, mainly the bottom where the tails sat.
