You guys are in the major leagues when it comes to lure painting. I realize that.

I'm a hack but want to paint up a few old jerkbaits in a "crappie pattern".

What do you consider "crappie pattern". Is is a white base, green base, dark back, etc.

I'd appreciate any hints from the experts. Thanks!

Createx make a color called “fastback green” that I used on these.  Depending on the color you spray it on top of; it can appear green, blue, and gold.  I think it’s pretty cool paint.  Other than that I used black, white, and grey on these – red too

I don't do many Crappies, but I used Silver White as a base, then Green metallic on top and a sponge dipped in black to do the markings, then I would mist some gold over it to mute the green. That's probably a #*#*ty description, but it's the best description I can come up with. They always look silver and gold to me when I cath one, so I try to use both colors.

Here's a couple crappie patterns I just did on a couple of bass baits for my self. These have a pearl silver base , polytranspar medium bass green for the back and the spots are shot with transparent black.
