| Swimbaits (large plastic minnow-types attached to jig heads) have become very popular fishing for large Bass on the west coast. I hear a lot about Bulldogs here, but little about "Swimbaits." Anybody using them? If so, I'm wondering...
What swimbaits are you using? How are you hooking them (jig heads?) and what type of equipment are you using to fish them? Thank - Tom |

| I bought a castiac swim shad. It sinks like a rock. I like it but have not used it enough yet. I think it will be good when I can't get a bulldawg down deep enough. The other thing I like about it is it has a belly hook. Others only have the top hook. mann's makes a plastic shad bait too, I caught a fish on the 7" one that is similar to a rattle trap on my second cast with it. |

| Tom....
Wait till you see MuskieE's Rubberhairy swim/glide bait.
Might be worth emailing him and getting on the list for the first batch... |

| Muskykid, I was throwing it with my st. croix MH 7'6" rod. I could have easily thrown it with my 7' st. croix bucktail rod. My reel was a calcutta 400 spooled with 80lb power pro. |
